Captain, Royal Mail Steamship Company. Son of Samuel Jellicoe and his wife, Elizabeth (Whalley-Smythe-Gardiner) Jellicoe. Married Lucy Henrietta Keele on May 12, 1857. They had seven children. One of whom is Admiral Sir John Henry Rushworth Jellicoe, 1st Earl Jellicoe. He had been all his life connected with the Royal Mail Steamship Company, rising at an early age to the position of captain, and being for many years commodore of the fleet. After his retirement he joined the board of directors.
