Patrick O'Shea Barber

Private Memorial Services for Mr. Patrick O'Shea Barber, 88, will be held Saturday, May 31, 2014 in League City, Texas.


Mr. Barber a Native of Austin, Texas and longtime resident of Maurice, LA passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014 at his residence.


Mr. Barber was a Veteran of World War II having served in the United States Marine Corp on the Pacific Island of Guam. After the war he was employed by Mission MFG Company in Houston, Texas, he retired with Mission after 38 years. In his retirement years he enjoyed playing golf, traveling and spending lots of time with his children and grandchildren.


He is survived by his son Terry Lee Barber; brother Oscar Holland, Jr.; sisters Dorothy Elaine Baker, Shirley Louis Hiett; Grandchildren Lori Barber Carver, Heather Barber Wilkes, Patrick Barber, Terri Duhon Peacock, James Duhon, Jennifer Barber Valois and Nick Barber; Daughter in law Lynn Grisham Barber; Son in law James H. Duhon as well as 10 Great Grandchildren.


He was proceeded in death by his mother Jessie Ruby Saul; Father "Daddy Oscar"; Wife Mary Margaret Tinnin Barber; son David Patrick Barber; daughter Elizabeth Ann Duhon; brothers Edwin Lee Barber Jr., Bill Barber; sister Mildred Louis Rodgers.


The Barber family would like to offer a special Thank You to his caretaker Mrs. Janet Dubea who cared for him day and night during the last three years.
