Patrick was married to Jane Hanrahan in about 1885 in South Omaha, Nebraska, and they had five children, of which only one lived to adulthood. After her death due to complications of childbirth, Patrick was married to Marie "Minnie" Barry-Martin on May 11, 1897 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in South Omaha, and they had seven children.
Patrick was employed by Armour-Cudahy Packing Company.
