Ruth Ellen Bradshaw, 83, Daytona Beach, Fla., passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2006, at Ormond Memorial Hospital, Ormond Beach, Fla. She was born in Peru on July 31, 1922, to Benjamin F. and Amelia (Guempclein) Hippensteel. She married George E. Bradshaw of Watseka, Ill., on Feb. 14, 1943, at the First Christian Church in Peru, where she was baptized as a young girl. She graduated from Peru High School and attended Franklin College and Kokomo Business College.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years; two sons, Ross and Philip; two daughters, Muriel and Donna; a sister, Mildred Kugler of Marion; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a niece; and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother and sister-in-law, Ross and Jean Hippensteel. Memorial services were held on July 7 in Haigh-Black Funeral Home in Ormand Beach, Fla.
