Lawson 'Blue' Eugene Knight

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. Lawson Eugene Blue Knight will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2015, in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville, with Reverend Glen Putman officiating.
Interment with Military Honors will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Bentley.
The family asks that visitation be observed at the funeral home from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. Thursday and continue Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Mr. Knight, 68, of Colfax, passed from this life Sunday, October 25, 2015, at Georgia Regents University Medical Center, Augusta, Georgia.
Blue proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Viet Nam Conflict and was a life-long resident of Grant Parish and worked at Hunt Plywood as a Dryer Tender. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend who was deeply loved and will not be forgotten.
His parents, Ray Lawson and Lena Ann Chandler Knight and one grandchild precede him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughters, Catrina Bilbo and Angelena Knight; his sons, Michael Knight and his wife Martha, and Anthony Knight; four brothers; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.
