Alden Waltz, 82, Dies At Gross Neck Monday Alden J. Waltz, 82, lifelong and well known resident of Waldoboro, passed away at his home on Gross Neck, Monday, after a brief illness. A carpenter and farmer by trade, Mr. Waltz had been actively tending his large chicken farm up until last summer, when he retired. For a number of years he served as one of the town road surveyors, and was also a foreman on state road construction. Born in Waldoboro, he was the son of the late James and Mary Genthner Waltz. He attended Waldoboro schools. Last October, Mr. Waltz and his wife, the former Marcy C. Creamer, celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Besides his widow he leaves three sons, James A. Waltz, Allison Waltz of Waldoboro, and Perley Waltz of Damariscotta; one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Halloran of Manchester, Conn., eight grandchildren, Mrs. Marie Theriault of Waterville, Mrs. Louise Berry of Camdeb, Kenneth and Richard of Waldoboro, Patricia and Richard Halloran of Manchester, Conn., Pamela Waltz of Waldoboro, and Jo Anne Waltz of Damariscotta. The funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today at the Waltz Funeral Home, with the Rev. George Price officiating. Interment was in the family lot at Dutch Neck.

Last October, Mr. Waltz, with Mrs. Waltz, the former Mary C. Creamer, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. She also survives him. He also leaves a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Halloran of Manchester, Conn., and two other sons, Allison Waltz of Waldoboro and Perley Waltz of Damariscotta. the Funeral was at 2 P. m. Thursday in the James A. Waltz Funeral Home here. The Rev. George R. Price, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Waldoboro, officiated. Burial was in Dutch Neck Cemetery.
