Uncle Josiah moved fathers family from Scioto Co, Ohio, to Lyons , Mich. The family consisted of my father Hosea, and mother. Her maiden name was Rebecca Wood, Birth sometime in 1822.....Then Uncle Josiah returned to Ohio after moving our family in 1852.
I was ten years of age when we moved to Michigan. Father rented a place near Lyons and we lived there two years and then move 14 north 14 miles to Montcalm County, town of Bushnell, right in the wilderness. Father had bought 40 acres and built a log house and cleared a little. He lived about a year and a half and passed away. After a year mother married a man by the name of Stevens (Joseph Stevens)
