SUPREME COURT JUDGE WENKE DIES

Native of Stanton With Top State Bench Since 1943

State Supreme Court Judge Adolph Wenke, 63, collapsed and died near the dorr of his office in the Capitol.
Dr. E. A. Rogers, state health director, said the judge, who had just begun his 4th 6 year term on the high court bench, died at 1:15 p.m. Friday of a heart attack.
A native of Stanton, Wenke had been with the State Supreme Court since 1943, coming from the 9th Judicial District Court bench at Stanton. He was a District Judge from 1938-43 and practiced law at Stanton from 1924-38.
His wife, Margaret, 2 sons in California, Robert and William, and a daughter, Mrs. James Campbell, now in New Hampshire, survive.
