Obituary for Ms. Harriet Elizabeth Gee
Harriet Gee was born on February 7, 1947, to the union of Curtis
Rollins and Mary Lee Rollins in McComb, Mississippi. She was the first
child born to this union.
She received her formal education in the public schools of McComb,
Mississippi. graduating from Booker T. Washington High School.
In 1965, she relocated to Detroit, Michigan. Then later relocating to
Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1969. Harriet united with Bethel Baptist Church. She started Miller Container Division/Ball Metal in April 1975 and retired in 2014 after 39 years.
Harriet had a lifelong passion for cooking, baking, gardening,
shopping, traveling, and being avid sports enthusiast. Harriet will always be remembered for her smile, laugh, voice and generosity.
Harriet was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Mary
Rollins; and brothers, Kenneth Rollins, Derrick Rollins, Renita Rooker, Floriea Rooker, and Brian Rooker.
Cherishing Harriet's memory are: 3 sons, Carey Gee, Corey Gee, and
Christopher Jones of Milwaukee, WI; stepson, Plato Gee III of Jackson,
MS; stepdaughter, Nykihah Gee of Jackson, MS; grandchildren: 2
granddaughters, Laylah Jones and Eva Jones of Milwaukee, WI; one
great granddaughter, Nova Jones of Milwaukee, WI; Harriet was a bonus
mom to Michael, Patrick, and Derrick McKennis of Milwaukee, WI; A
host of brothers and sisters, Kimberly Johnson, Mark Rollins, Eric Rollins of Detroit, MI, Bobby McKennis, Sr.. and Lora Martin of Summit, MS, Tommy McKinily of Chicago, IL; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
