Army Air Corps member in the 43rd Bomb Group 65th Bomb Squadron stationed at 7 Mile Strip, Port Morseby, New Guinea, B-17 radio operator/waist gunner. Arrived Sydney Australia on the Queen Mary, attended radio operator school in Townsville. Killed in Action aboard "Georgia Peach" 13 June 1943. Remains were recovered in Feb 1950, with burial at Jefferson Barracks Natl. Cemetery.
