David Baughman died July 19, 1917, at the home of his daughter Mrs. Amos Amsler in Limestone township. He was born Jan 16, 1845, in Union Township, Snyder county. He was married to Mary C. Himes on November 16, 1867. She died Oct. 22, 1912. There is left to mourn his death, one brother, Israel F. Baughman of Brookville, three sisters, Mrs. Susan Omsler, Brookville; Mrs. Mary Welch, Penfield; Mrs. Emma Hoffman, Brookville; eight children, Edward W., who lives in W. Va.; Calvin C. of Summerville; Clara C. Blake, Putneyville; Mary Annetta Carrier, Summerville; Adelva Belle Amsler, of Limestone township, this county; Archie S., Grace D. Walmer, Israel Frank, all of Summerville. Two children died, one year ago, Vera May Cribbs and Mazie Emma who died in infancy. There are 31 grandchildren. He was a Civil War veteran. He belonged to Co. K, 62nd Regt. PA Vols. He was very patient during his sickness having suffered about ten years from asthma. He was a kind and affectionate father and brother. Services were held Sunday, July 22, from the Amos Amsler home in Limestone township. Rev. Rowlands, pastor of Limestone Presbyterian Church, had charge of the funeral. The family wishes to thank all the neighbors and friends who rendered their kind services during this sickness and death.
