After the death of his first wife, J K Arrington married Frances Emeline Temples Langford Arrington on 10 Nov 1908 in Wilkinson County. She died in Macon, Bibb Co., GA on 7 Nov 1938 and is possibly buried in the Temples Davis Cemetery in an unmarked grave #72 lot next to her first husband, Franklin Pierce Langford, and her infant daughters, Susan "Susie" P. Langford and Winnifred "Winnie" Langford.

Appointed 1st Corporal of Company B, 2nd Regiment,1st Brigade, Georgia State Troops October 2, 1861. Mustered out April 1862. Appointed 1st Corporal of Company K, 57th Regiment Georgia Infantry May 3, 1862. Captured at Vicksburg, Mississippi July 4, 1863. Paroled there in 1863. Roll for April 30, 1864, last on file, shows him present. Pension records show he was furloughed home on account of sickness September 1864. Contracted pneumonia October or November 1864.
