Charles Addy Little, 84, of Swan, Texas passed away peacefully to be with his Lord Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday night, May 23, 2021 at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler, Texas.
Charles was born to Mr. Jim, Little and Mrs. Sallie May (Willbanks) Little on March 20, 1937 in Winnsboro, Texas, who was the youngest child of three, daughter, Willie, Mae, and son (J.P.) Jay. In Charles younger years he attended school, then enlisted in the US Air Force where he served for eight years. Then he switched branches and enlisted in the US Army and served for six years. While in the military from 19 43–19 69 he served in the Korean war and Vietnam. He married his first wife and had three children, James, Barbara, and Sharlot. after a divorce, he married Irma Leiss in 1968, who had four children of her own. Later on, Charles and Irma had their son Addy in Augusta, Georgia in 1969, and then later, they all moved to Burleson, Texas, and later to Irving, Texas. Eventually, they settled in Swan, Texas. Charles had an associate degree in electronics at IT Tech. He worked at Al's television shop for several years. Charles later partnered with his son, Addy and James and opened up his own electronic repair shop AJC Electronics in 1987 on Gentry Parkway in Tyler, Texas. he worked there till he retired and moved the shop to his house in Swan, Texas, until he decided to close his business somewhere around five years ago. Charles liked working on vehicles, racing dirt cars at Rose Bowl, Speedway, in Winona, Texas, racing RC cars, building RC airplanes and flying them at the Tyler RC Airpark, in Tyler, Texas, and visiting with his family and friends. He enjoyed going to church and got baptized at Swan Baptist Church where he was a member. Later on, he found a new spiritual home at Hebron Baptist Church and attended with his family, until failing health, forced him to stay home. He will be greatly missed by his lovely wife, Irma of 53 years, his sons, daughters, and stepson, all his grandchildren, and other extended family members and friends, plus his dog Rodney.
Charles will be laid to rest with military honors in the Hebron memorial gardens, church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Irma, a little, his son, James (Maria) Wiggins of Tyler, Texas; his two daughters, Barbara (Mike) Echols of Tallahassee, Florida; Sharlot (Robert B.) Snyder of Tallahassee, Florida; his other son, Addy (Valerie) Little of Tyler, Texas; and his stepson, Charles, Jr. (Sandra) Harper Tyler, Texas; plus lots of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended, family, members, and friends.
Charles is proceeded in death by his parents, Jum Little and Sallie Swanson; his sister Willie Mae Jacobus; his brother Jay P. Little; his stepdaughters, Patricia Harper, and Victoria Goff; his other stepson, George Harper; plus other extended family members.
