Isham Carver was the son of Robert Braswell Carver and his wife, Mary. The 1766 Cumberland County, NC Will of his father named him as Isom Carver. He served in the Revolutionary War.
By 1769, he and Eliabeth Baldwin were married when they sold some land. Elizabeth was named as Betsey. (Cumberland County, 1769, Land Book 23, p. 305.)
Isham and Elizabeth's home was known as Homestead Plantation.
At the time of Isham's death, he was involved in a law suit. Cumberland County Court records noted his death.
It is believe Isham and Eliabeth were interred in what is now known as Old Mount Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.
