Honea Path - Mary Molly Hammett Evans, 90, wife of the late Alf Haynie Evans, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024.

Formerly of Pelzer, she was born in Honea Path to the late Willie Dexter and Cleopatra Argyll Rogers "Cleo" Hammett. She retired both from Mount Vernon Mills and Bi-Lo. Molly was member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, in Pelzer, where she was a member of the Rebekah Sunday school class, and she currently attended Chiquola Baptist Church in Honea Path. She was also a member of the Helen Sargent WMU and Senior JoyMakers.

Survivors include her sons, Jimmy Evans (Connie) of West Pelzer and Robert Hammett of Pelzer; daughter, Carol Evans Tucker of Honea Path; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by seven sisters and seven brothers.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 2, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gray Mortuary.

The funeral will be Wednesday, April 3, at 2:00 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories.
