Edmund B. Purdon, 90, of Stilwell, KS, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2015. Eddie was born October 19, 1924 in Greenbush, KS and was the youngest and last remaining of eleven children born to Jim and Katie Purdon.

He was a Navy WWII Veteran serving on board the USS Marcus Island, Seaman First Class. While on one of his shore leaves he met Lorene Halbauer who he married in June, 1946 and remained married until the day of her death in April 2010.

Eddie and Lorene had two children, Gloria and Steve, five grandsons, Clint Divine, Jacob, Luke, Joe and Adam Purdon, one granddaughter, Tiffany Divine and three great grandsons Harrison, Donovan and Augustus Purdon.

Eddie was a carpenter by trade and is responsible for building several homes and commercial structures throughout Kansas City, Olathe and Stanley areas locally and others across the country.

He loved his family, Church, Country, State, KC Royals, KU Basketball and sometimes the Chiefs.
