Eufaula. Dec. 19 - Norman T. Smartt died at his home in Eufaula last night at 9:20 o'clock. He was a young man widely known in nearly every section of the South and had been ill for three weeks. He was twenty-nine years old and came to Eufaula six years ago. He married Miss Eugenia Persons.
He was born and raised in McMinnville, Tennessee where his parents now reside. He was a traveling salesman and represented a large manufacturing company in Macon, Georgia. He had recently been promoted by his company to be field manager.
Mr. Smartt was widely known extensively since his job brought him into personal contact with also every important mercantile concern in the Southern States. He comes from an old line of Tennessee aristocrats.
Survivors:
Wife and a two year old daughter
Two sisters who reside in New York.
Funeral plans are not complete yet, but it is thought that the service will be Tuesday morning and body will be buried here.
