ATHENS, Tenn. -- Frank M. Spiggle died Thursday, May 7, 1998, at an area nursing home.
She was 90. He was a lifelong McMinn County resident, a deacon of First Baptist Church, and the longtime owner and operator of A.S. Spiggle and Son Grocery Store in North Athens.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille Wright Spiggle, Athens; two sons, Dr. John A. Spiggle, Morganton, N.C., and Tom Spiggle, Nashville; and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Jerry Smith Funeral Home with ministers Ansell T. Baker and Carlos R. Peterson officiating.
Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
