Services for Dan Alan Ross, 54, of Winona, are scheduled for 4:30 P.M., Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Friendly Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Perry officiating. Burial will be at Union Grove Cemetery in Van.

Mr. Ross passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 in Wood County.

He was born on March 11, 1956 in Dallas to the late Dan Robert and Robbie Franklin Ross. He was a member of Friendly Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and a Sunday school teacher. He was also involved in the Cross Vision Ministries. He retired from Tyler Police Department in 2002 with 22 years of service, was formerly employed by the Dallas County Sheriff's Department for two years and currently employed in the trucking industry.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Ross of Winona; daughters, April Glaspie of Winona and Anna Dickey of Bullard.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Friendly Baptist Church, Children's Building fund, 1903 E. Front, Tyler 75701 or Cross Vision Ministries, 3693 Halter Ct., Sacramento, CA, 95821.
