Mr. James Harrison Bible, age 89, of Wartburg passed away Thursday, July 11, 2002 at the Lifecare Center of Morgan County. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Bible worked for several years for Alcoa Aluminum. Later he worked as a chemical operator with Union Carbide in Oak Ridge. He retired from the State of Tennesse as a security guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lon Bible, Sr. and Bertha Sparks Bible; son, Bobby T. Bible; granddaughter, Teri Lynn Bible; brother, Looney J. Bible.
He is survived by his wife, Lillie Bowers Bible, daughter, Earlene Singleton Gregory of Harriman; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Karen of Spring City, Douglas M. and Patricia of Dover, TN, Donald W. and Kathy of Wartburg, Coy Lee of Knoxville, Roy Dale and Cheri of Wartburg, Roger Allen of Coalfield; eleven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; brothers, Harley and Junior Bible, both of Maryville.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 12, 2002 from 5-7:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg Chapel. Funeral service will begin at 7 p.m. with Rev. Herb Judkins officiating. A private burial will be held on Monday in Anderson Memorial
