Sister of Richard Burt 1745-1825 and daughter of Richard Burt b.1713 and Sarah Paul, she was married to Samuel Chapman, a private in the Connecticut Militia who was at Lexington and Concord where the revolution began.. See "Descendants of Robert Chapman" pub. 1954.Her daughter Sophia married Martin I Vanderwerker, son of Isaac and Elizabeth Sybrandt Vanderwerker. According to Laura Kane-Potvin her parents are Richard Burt b.1712 and Sarah Paul Burt 1715-1761.
By clicking on her husband's father and grandfather their ancestry can be traced back to the 1600's in Connecticut and before that to England. See FAG #204551091.
The Chapmans were early settlers in Bacon Hill and had large families.
