Phyllis Ann (Barnard) Smith, aged 80, departed from this world in the early hours of January 23, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Phyllis and Teddy Ray Smith were married on July 4th, 1964, showcasing a love that lasted nearly 60 years. Their marriage was a beacon of devotion, admired by all who knew them. Two months after Phyllis passed, Teddy followed in her footsteps to be by her side.

Phyllis was a loving wife, devoted mother of four (including a set of triplets), and an adored grandmother. As an artist at heart and a nurturing homemaker, she found joy in the everyday pleasures of scrapbooking, sketching, and caring for the children in her neighborhood. Her quick wit brought light to even the darkest moments, leaving smiles in her wake.

Phyllis is reunited with her beloved parents, Lois and Everette Barnard, leaving behind her seven surviving siblings, her brother-in-law, and their families.

Phyllis is also survived by her four children and four grandchildren. In Indianapolis, IN, her memory lives on within her eldest son, Ted Wesley "TW" Smith, her granddaughter Tela Smith, and her son Daniel Smith. She continues to be cherished in California by her son Dustin Smith in Union City, by her daughter Deana Lafferty in Manteca, her grandson Kody Stemshorn in Tracy, and her granddaughter Kaylen Lafferty in Manteca. Phyllis will always be remembered in Federal Way, WA, where her granddaughter Karsha Smith currently resides.

Her spirit continues to live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her love.
