Services for Elsie Lucille Richardson Satterly, 86, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2008, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Val Wheelwright and George Bland officiating. Interment will following at the McAlister Cemetery, Overbrook.

Born Dec. 13, 1921, in Jackson County, Ind., to Michael Matthew and Lillie May Baker Richardson, she died May 13, 2008, in an Ardmore nursing home. Suzy married Quinten Rudolph Satterly June 1, 1940, in Jackson County. He preceded her in death in 1982. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Sanders; a son, Douglas Rudolph Satterly; a grandson, Michael Arthur Satterly; a great-grandson, Shawn Manuel Woolbright; her parents; a brother, Franklin Richardson; and five sisters, Margarite Faye King, Agnes Inez Franklin, Francis Buescher, Myrtle Boling and Mary Kathleen Hale.

Suzy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she taught spiritual living. She went on a mission to Ventura, Calif. in 1989. She was a restaurant cook and loved to write letters to her friends. She enjoyed doing elaborate genealogical work and loved to crochet and cook. She also taught spiritual living classes at a nursing home on Saturdays.

Survivors include four sons, Stephen Cline Satterly and his wife, Martha, Indianapolis, Robert Allen Satterly and his wife, Sharon, Ardmore, James Warren Satterly, Ardmore, and Michael Dean Satterly, Freetown, Ind; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters: Lillian Harding and her husband, Richard, Columbus, Ind., and Helen Hilderbrand and her husband, Bill, Acme, Ind.; a sister-in-law, Marge Richardson, Brownstown, Ind; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bearers will be Robert Satterly Jr., Kevin Satterly, Mason Eastman, Shawn Ramsey, Michael Satterly, Sam Satterly and John Adams. Honorary bearers will be Shane Satterly and Jacob Satterly.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Memorial Health Center Foundation Building Fund, 1011 14th Ave. NW, Ardmore, OK 73401

Services are under the direction of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.
