Babin, Beulah Mae Brown A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she died at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at Ochsner Medical Center in Baton Rouge.
She was 69, a resident of Head of Island, a native of Whitehall and owner of Babin Tax Service.
Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, was on Thursday, July 13, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church, Whitehall, on Friday, July 14, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Rubin Reynolds, celebrant. Interment in Whitehall Community Cemetery.
Survived by her husband of 52 years, Aubrey Lawrence Babin of Head of Island; daughter, Wanda and husband Troy Matthews of Port Vincent; three sons, Mark and wife Dee Babin of Livingston, and Wendell and wife Tona Babin, and Gregory Babin, all of Head of Island; three sisters, Evelyn and husband Ellis LeBourgeois of St. Amant, Betty and husband Jimmy McCoy of Livingston, and Lou and husband Leon Dennis of St. Amant; sister-in-law, Noemie; two brothers, E.J. and wife Gladys Millet of St. Amant and John and wife Sandy Brown of Prairieville; six grandchildren and their spouses, Misty and Marc Malbrough of Gonzales, Mikel and Tracie Crawford of Port Vincent, Wendell and Amanda Babin of Waggaman, Jill Babin of Chalmette, and Jodie and Mark Babin of Gonzales; and great-grandchildren, Kaleigh Cambell, Matthew Matherne, Kandace Malbrough, Sarah and Ethan Crawford, Alice and Bryce Babin, and Michael and Lilly Vannapha.
Preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Martha Lambert Millet Brown; and brother, Alvin "Tootsie" Millet.
Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons.
She was a member of St. Stephen the Martyr Church.
