Elizabeth was born in Koeltztown, Missouri to Heinrich Hagenhoff and Elizabeth Sandbothe.

Elizabeth was married to Frederick Benjamin "Fritz" Falter on Sept. 12, 1899 in Koeltztown, and they had nine children.

Mrs. Elizabeth Falter, 85, of Westphalia died at 8 p.m. Sunday at Charles E. Still Hospital in Jefferson City, after an illness of about three weeks. Born at Koeltztown on July 16, 1877, she was the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Sandbothe Hagenhoff. She was married to Fritz B. Falter in Koeltztown in Sept. of 1900. He died Aug. 16, '37.

She is survived by two sons, John and Alphonse Falter of Westphalia; five daughters, Mrs. Alphonse Bock of Westphalia, Mrs. Henry Schwartze, Mrs. Alfred Schwartze and Mrs. William Wansing, all of Vienna, and Mrs. Atwood Emht of St. Louis; one step-son, Charles Falter of Westphalia; one step-daughter, Sister Mary Josephine of Ursuline Convent in Springfield, Ill., one brother, Henry Hagenhoff of Argyle; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Horstdaniel of Westphalia and Mrs. Gerhard Bock of Freeburg; 45 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Westphalia at 10 a.m. Wednesday with burial in the parish cemetery.
