Stephanie T. Alampi, Romeo - age 86, passed away on January 21, 2018. She was born on February 6, 1931 in the Czech Republic, daughter of Rudolf and Franziska Hudler. Stephanie married Anthony Alampi in May of 1954 in Weilheim, Germany. 


Although Stephanie was proud of her German heritage, she was proud to become a US citizen and taught herself to read and write English. Stephanie loved caring and cooking for her husband and family. She enjoyed life in the country, where she raised animals, gardened, canned, knitted, crocheted, did ceramics and attended swim class. Her favorite role was Grandma to her six grandchildren. 


She is survived by her children; Josephine (Perry) Bilotta of Shelby Twp., Frances Alampi of Almont, Frank (Marcie) of Addison Twp., Matthew (Kathleen) of Lake Orion, Stephen of Washington Twp., and John (Barbara) of Armada. She is also survived by her sister Elsa (Sebastian) Ambacher, brother Manfred (Franziska) Hudler and Sisters in law Helga, Martha and Herlinde. Grandchildren that survive her are Anthony, Charles, Erica, Louis, Nicole, and Kathleen. Stephanie was predeceased by her brothers Roman, Rudolf and Gerold Hudler.


Funeral Services will take place Friday January 26, 2018 at 10 AM at St. Clement Catholic Church of Rome, Romeo. Burial will follow at Bruce-Armada Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday January 25, 2018 from 2-8 at Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home.
