Charles E. Beard, 82, died last night in the Henry County Home following a brief illness.
Mr. Beard was born in Zanesville, Ohio and came to Illinois in 1880. He is a member of the Cambridge Methodist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Bernard Beard of East Moline, Fred Beard of Vail, Ore., and Keyon Beard of Kewanee, and three daughters, Mrs. Susan McDowell of Alpha, Mrs. Pearl Hamilton residing in Virginia, and Mrs. Elizabeth McLaughlin of Longmont, Colo.
Funeral Services will be at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon in Viola. (Cambridge, IL. March 4--Argus News Service)
