His tombstone states says he was born in 1846 which is wrong. He was actually born in 1843 the day after his father died.

The 1850 census states Sylvaneous was born about 1844 and is age 6. In 1850 he was living with his maternal grandparents Sylvaneous and Nancy Young. In addition, his older sister Eliza Ann Hoover was in the home.
