Son of Samuel Treat II, and Frances Bryan. Cemetery records show Samuel as a Revolutionary War Veteran, while C. C. Bronson's Journal has Samuel as a veteran of the War of 1812.


first married 29 Jun 1787 to Sarah Nettleton (1761-1793). Sarah and Samuel had two children

  2. Mary Treat (b. 05 Jun 1790)


After Sarah's death, Samuel married Clarissa Wetmore in 1794.
