Ira James Arquette, 42, of White Swan, Wa. walked on to be with the Creator Friday, July 11, 2014. He was born June 7, 1972 to William and Nancy Arquette, in Yakima, Wa.

Ira was raised and educated in White Swan. He loved playing football and basketball while in high school, especially with his brothers. He was an avid hunter and gatherer that provided for his family & others. His love & passion was being in the mountains woodcutting, working, hunting, fishing, camping, or just going for a ride. Ira was a well known individual for his smile, his sense of humor, his cooking especially from scratch & his children/grandchildren & family. He will be greatly missed by all.

He leaves behind his children: Jordan Ryan, Darian Olivia, Jonet Odessa and Josiah Jacob Arquette; his grandchildren: Jasper James & Jesslyn Rose Arquette; his companion Melinda Yniquez and her children of Wapato, Wa.; his siblings: Seymour Arquette of Lapwai, Id., Greg, Rose (Bill), Jeff (Serina), Sandra (Robert), Sarah (Joe), Lee (Juleigh), Ryan (Sheri), Feather, Joslin Arquette & April (EQ) Queahpama of White Swan, WA; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Nancy Arquette, siblings: Darlene & Ron Arquette, and Mary Smartlowit Garcia, uncles Sandy & David Arquette, aunt Olivia Arquette, and niece Lucie Ann Arquette.

Dressing services Tuesday, July 15th at 1 PM at Merritt Funeral Home, then will be taken to family home in Medicine Valley for one 7 drum service. Right after, will be transported to Toppenish Creek Longhouse (White Swan). Burial at 6 AM, Yemowat Cemetery, Ahtanum on Wednesday, July 16th.
