HAZEL, Ky.--Services for Effie Edwards, 97, of Hazel will be at 11 a.m. today at Imes-Miller Funeral Home in Murray. Bob Haley will officiate. Burial will be in Murray City Cemetery.
She died at 9:45 p.m. Saturday at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
Mrs. Edwards was honored as Homemaker of the Year by the New Concord Homemakers. She was a member of New Concord Church of Christ.
She is survived by one sister, Vinnie Meador of Murray; one brother, Leland Malcolm of Paris, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gardner "T.R." Edwards; two brothers; and three sisters. Her parents were Charlie and Lona Lee Malcolm.
