Barbara Nel Shouse, 81, of Owensboro, passed away Monday, November 27, 2023, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born February 28, 1942, to the late Henry Estil and Beulah May Cambron. Barbara attended Relevant Faith Church and was a long-time member of Good Shepard Assembly of God. She was a beautician for 47 years and owned and operated Talk of the Town Beauty, while helping her husband run his business, Overall Builders. She recently retired from Majesty High School where she worked in the cafeteria. Barbara was a loving wife, sister, daughter, mother, aunt, grandmother, and cat owner. But most of all, she was a woman of faith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her infant son, Jimmy Gene Harden; brothers, Earl Mac Cambron and Norman Lee Cambron; brothers-in-law, Oda Shouse, Noah Shouse, Robert Shouse, and Kirtley Shouse; and sister-in-law, Betty Shouse.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 50 years, James Shouse; stepsons, Michael Scott Shouse and David Shouse; sister, FayRene Cambron; sisters-in-law, Jean Shangle, Ann Cambron, Nina Cambron, and Kathy Shouse; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Barbara will be 2 PM Monday, December 4, 2023, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 10 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
