Lieutenant Colonel, M.C., Police Medal. Son of John Thurlow Rivett-Carnac and his wife, Edith Emily (Brownlow) Rivett-Carnac. Married firstly Ola Jane Wilson in 1923. They had one daughter. After her death he married the widow Evelyn (Balfour) Hope. They had one son. He had served in the British Army and as Superintendent of the Indian Police force.
