Driver of the car, xxxxxxxxxxxxx, 53, RD 1, Rt. Sullivan, was not held.
She told sheriff's deputies she came over the crest of a hill on New London-Eastern Rd. east of South Baker Rd. Headed her way in her lane was the Farnsworth boy, she said.
He was riding with his head down, looking at his shoes, according to a bicycling companion, neighbor Roy Balkin, 9.
Mrs. Gullett told deputies she tried to stop but could not. She said the Farnsworth kept coming straight at her in her lane and did not swerve, deputies said.
They measured 99 feet of skid marks before impact. After the car hit the boy and the bicycle, it dragged Ricky Lee 89 more feet before it stopped
Facts in the crash are being presented to the Loran County Prosecutor
