Mr. Eric Burton (known as Darrell) was born May 4, 1962, in Madison County, Alabama. He departed this life on May 10, 2008, at Huntsville Hospital.

He confessed hope in Christ at an early age and was a member of Moses Chapel Primitive Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Joe Hereford. He later joined Peace in the Storm Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Wayne Sibley until his homegoing.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Ann Burton, and one brother, Comas Blackburn.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory four children, Steve (Amanda) Langford, Michelle Langford, Kevin Langford, and Darrius Langford all of Huntsville, Alabama; three sisters, Annie (Roosevelt) Burton, Vanessa (Coty) McCurdy both of Huntsville, Alabama, Dorothy (Joe) Bernasconi of Brockton, Massachusetts, eight brothers, Gregory Burton, Jerry Burton, Melvin (Gloria) Burton, Marvin (Jacqueline) Burton, Corey (Shilaunda) Burton, Michael Burton all of Huntsville, Alabama, Timothy (Deborah) Burton of Hollywood, Florida, Robert III (Gwen) Burton of Denver, Colorado; two aunts, Nora Blackburn, and Luella Crawford both of Huntsville, Alabama and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2008 at the Madkins Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America (2403 Oakwood Road; Huntsville, AL 35810) with Reverend Wayne Sibley officiating. Interment will be in the Madison Memory Gardens. Mr. Burton will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.

Public viewing will begin on Thursday, May 15, 2008 from 11:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.; Friday, May 16, 2008 from 8:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
