NAME VARIATIONS: In most records he used the name Wells J. Conner, but after his divorce from his 1st wife, he moved to Westminster, Vermont and started using the name William H. Conner and Willis Conner. In the 1900 Census he also used the name William H. Conner, but married his 2nd wife under the name Willis H. Conner. Confusing for researchers but apparently not unusual for his family. Some of his siblings used multiple versions of their names too.
