Funeral services for Irene L. Boley, 96, were held May 23, 200 at 1:30 PM at the Hillsboro Baptist church with Rev. David Doerr and Rev. Ed Newman officiating.
Ms. Boley died Saturday, May 20, 2000 at the Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua, Iowa.
She was born on July 31, 1903 in rural Stockport, Iowa the daughter of John William and Sarah Jane McCracken Boley she lived most of her life in the Stockport Community. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and was a farm homemaker. She was a member of the Hillsboro Baptist Church.
She is survived by one brother, Dean Boley, of Fairfield, Iowa and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Lewis, Nicholas and Mack Boley; and 3 sisters, Ida Bloomquist, Beulah Boley and her twin sister Norene Boley. Burial was in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
