William "Bill" H. Floyd, Sr., 88 of Plant City, FL passed away on Wednesday, January 24th, 2024. He was born on August 17th, 1935 in Willacoochee, GA, and has lived in the Bradenton/Tampa areas since 1945. Bill was a devoted husband, father, stepfather and granddad/grandpa.


He has now "climbed that mountain and is up there among them clouds" looking down on all of us. He joined the Army National Guard in 1955 and served 9-1/2 years, ending his service as an SSG. Country Music was Bill's life, and he began singing with his brother Harold at a very young age.


Bill is known in the Tampa Bay Area for his singing career as a country western artist. He was a singer, song writer, and had many recordings in Nashville. He hosted the syndicated "Bill Floyd TV Show", was a local DJ on WYOU. He entertained many at Joy Land, The Roadway Inn, The Dallas Bull and Bill Floyd's Sunshine Country Club and various VFW's.


Bill is survived by his wife of 20 years, Carla; his children, William "Hank" (Jane), Shari (Donald), Lisa (James PeeWee), and April (Brian); grandchildren, Kellen, Daryl, Kelli, Dillon, Victoria and Dalton; and great-grandchildren, Neal, and Elias, step-children, Jim, Keli (Randy), Matt (Stacey); step- grandchildren, Jamie, James, III, Kyle, Kal'e, Anthony; and 8 step-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his late wife and mother of his children Claudia; his parents Henry and Mary; brother Harold.


As per Bill's request no funeral or memorial service will be held.
