Funeral services for Judy Faye Powell Blanchard will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 3, 2007 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Reverend Richard McGovern officiating. Burial will be in Heard Cemetery, Manifest.

Mrs. Blanchard, 56, of Belledeau, passed away, Monday, April 30, 2007 at her residence.

Mrs. Blanchard was of the Baptist Faith. She was a hair stylist for 21 years at Naomi Heights Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by her father, Milton Powell, Jr.; her sisters, Darlene Hines and Betty Savant.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond Blanchard of Belledeau; her mother, Susie Powell of Otis; her son, John Webster Harris of Otis; her daughter, Elizabeth Hollis of Jonesville; her step-sons, Larry Blanchard of Baton Rouge, Neal Blanchard of Alexandria and Michael Blanchard of Belledeau; her step-daughter, Janis Lacombe of Pineville; her brothers, twin brother Jimmy Ray Powell of Texarkana, Donnie Powell of Alabama, Ronnie Powell of Bastrop, Clyde Powell of Otis and Billy Powell of Otis; her grandchildren, Colby Lane Carson, Christopher Harris and Kyle Harris and nine step-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will include Ronald Lacombe, Neal Blanchard, Reggie Lacombe, Michael Blanchard, Todd Blanchard, Donald Powell.

Visitation will be at Hixson Brothers, Pineville Wednesday, May 2, 2007 from 5-9p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. until time of services in the chapel.
