Mrs. Leona Bynum Bowen, aged about seventy-two years died in Birmingham last Saturday morning following a short illness. At the time of her death, she was making her home with her son, A. E. Bowen. Mrs. Bowen was a sister to J. C. (Babe) Bynum, of Oneonta and was reared in this community where she had many friends. Other brothers surviving is Ellis A. Bynum, of Tarrant and Fred 0. Bynum, of Pinson. She also leaves two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Nelson and Mrs. Alma Hunter, two sons, W. L. and A. E. Bowen. Funeral services were conducted from the M. E. Church at Boyles Sunday afternoon and interment was in the Oneonta cemetery, Revs. W. A. Murphree and Q. W. Elliott officiated.
