MOS:7561 Pilot HMH/M/L/A (I).

Eugene was serving in the Marine Reserves
when he volunteered to go into active duty.
He arrived in Vietnam 7 September 1967 and
was assigned to HMM-163,MAG-36,1st Marine
Air Wing.Captain Gannon was returning from
medical evacuation when the helicopter he
was the pilot of was involved in a mid-collision
with another helicopter.Both of the helicopters
crashed on land.Captain Gannon died as a
result of multiple injuries to the body.
He was married and served his country for
6 years.
Survived by his wife,Nancy Gannaon and his
son,Christopher Gannon of Long Island City,
NY and his parents,Eugene R & Susan M of
New York,NY.
