Julius Webster "Jule" Wilfong, my great grandfather, was born in Catawba County, North Carolina, the son of George Daniel Wilfong and Anna Ramsour Wilfong. He married Margaret Jane Crawford on June 12, 1851, at Upper Fish Dam Creek Presbyterian Church, in Chester County, South Carolina.
They lived in Chester County until the early 1860's, when they moved to Bradley County, Arkansas. During the Civil War, Julius was in the Confederate Army, 1st Regiment, Arkansas Cavalry (Monroe's), Company B.
Julius and Margaret were the parents of thirteen children.
