She married William C. La Dow on January 14, 1861 in McHenry Co., Illinois (This William C. La Dow is presumed to be William Carleton Mc Dow, son of Peter and Sophia La Dow.)

Her exact death date and burial are unknown but is probable about 1864, when William C. La Dow married again to Hannah Mary Isaac on October 9, 1864 in Minnesota and no further records have been found for Emilia.
