Former Edinburg Man Dies at Daughter's Home in Franklin.

Edinburg, Dec. 8-Frank Ashley, 74, former Edinburg resident, died Wednesday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Fred Newkirk in Franklin.

Funeral services were to be held this afternoon at the Christian church in Franklin in charge of the Rev. Ray Bozell of this place. Burial was to be in the Franklin cemetery.

Mr. Ashley suffered a heart attack while visiting at the home of his son, Everett, here a month ago. Sunday he suffered another and never regained consciousness.

He was born in this state Dec. 15, 1864, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Ashley and his early life was spent here.

He married Mary Susan Harrell, who preceded him in death.

Survivors are four children, Herbert, Otto and Mrs. Halbert McKee of Nineveh and Everett, all by the first marriage, and Mrs. Fred Newkirk, a daughter of the marriage to Miss Addie Poulton in 1907; 21 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
