June was born March 5, 1936, in Baxter Springs, to the union of Carrel and Juanita Byler. She graduated from Baxter High School in 1953. She worked at Matlock 5 & 10 store while attending high school then worked at Consolidated Supply Co. in Treece, Kan., until leaving the area in 1957.
June married Larry Duane Allgood on August 17, 1958 in Baxter Springs, Kansas. Together they had two daughters, Pamela Jane and Cynthia Kay.
June worked for Eastman Kodak Co. in Atlanta, Ga., for 16 years and retired in 1992. She returned to this area in 1995, to help provide care for her family.
She was a member of the First Assembly Of God Church, of Baxter Springs.
