On 31 March 1859 in Clairborne, Tennessee he married Elizabeth M Garrard Brawner, daughter of Luther Brawner and Maria Pacheco Padilla Brawner. (Elizabeth M Garrard Brawner was born 24 Nov 1842 in Clay Co, KY and died 20 Dec 1922 in Clay Co, KY. She was buried 21 Dec 1922.
