Older Livermore residents will learn with regret of the death of Gilbert L. McIver, former resident here, who passed away in Honolulu last Thursday after a week's illness.
As a young man he was a well-known Livermore resident, about thirty-five years ago, being employed in several local stores. After leaving Livermore, he resided in Alameda until about two years ago when business interests took him to Honolulu, where he had since resided. He was sixty four years of age.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ella McIver, and two sons, Leslie and Bevan, all of Honolulu. Funeral services were held in that city last Friday, the body being cremated and the ashes are being brought to Oakland by his widow, for interment.
