The Rev. Herbert L. Bryant, 86, of the Vinton Lutheran Home, died there Monday, May 6, 2002, after a lengthy illness with Parkinson's disease.
Services 10:00 a.m. Friday, Wesley United Methodist Church, Vinton, by Dr. Robert Burkhart, the Rev. Rose Blank and the Rev. Jan Ziskovsky. Burial 1:30 p.m. Friday, Rose Hill Cemetery, Marshalltown. Friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Overton-Van Steenhuyse Funeral Home, Vinton, with a Masonic service at 8 p.m.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma; a son, Steven of Lincoln, Neb.; two daughters, Carolynne Palmer of San Luis Obispo, Calif., and Patricia Hanson of Dows; and two brothers, Donald of Cedar Rapids and William of Newton.
