The death angel visited our community last week and took from our midst one of the most beloved of our good women, Mrs Rachel Elmore.
Mrs. Elmore had been confined to her bed about 5 months. Had she lived until June 27th, she would have been 73. She leaves 4 daughters and 4 sons. She died May 27 and was laid to rest beside her husband, Rev W C Elmore, at Mt Union Thursday. Rev G F Todd officiated.
Mrs. Elmore was generally known as "Aunt Rachel" and was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church at Clear Creek. Her husband died February 19, 1921.
