Mrs. George was born on a farm near Barington (sic), Ill., and moved to Nebraska with her parents, Earnest and Sophia Rieke, at the age of 8, settling near Chester, where she lived for 20 years.
Mrs. George's husband, Ealom J. George, preceded her in death in 1966. Mr. George was Superintendant (sic) of Schools at Edwardsville, for many years. Mrs. George lived in Edwardsville for 35 years and was a member of the W.S.C.S. of the church.
Mrs. George is survived by two sons, Mr. Harold E. George, 5521 W. 61st Terr., Mission, Ks., and Mr. Everett N. George, Orosi, Calif.; foru daughters, Mrs. Marie Coulter, 10906 W. 59th St., Shawnee, Mrs. Leona Langshaw, Nevada, Mo., Mrs. Nelta Axtell, Reedley, Calif., and Mrs. Wilma Whitmore, Denver, Colo.; 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Thursday at 2 p.m., at the Edwardsville United Methodist Church. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 9, at Chester Cemetery, Chester, Nebr.
